There are two types of Thai silk fabrics with checked patterns:
1. Smooth-texture
2. Rough-texture

Smooth texture
          The fabric is woven with sets of thin yarns. Therefore, it is glossy and comfortable to wear. It is suitable for shirts, blouses, etc.

Rough texture
          It is woven with sets of thick yarns. However, the fabric is still soft thanks to natural properties of silk. This fabric is less glossy, in comparison with the smooth texture, but it is equally comfortable to wear. The fabrics are suitable for different types of garments, furniture upholstery, curtains, table cloths, comforters, etc.
